In case you haven't noticed but HBO no longer has the Monopoly over the sport in terms of broadcasting all the top names/fights since the emergence of ShoBoy/GoldenTime collaboration this looks like the future not just a trend.
So there forced to go the with ShoBox type cards involving younger unknown fighters and try to build them up that way they just don't have a platform yet to distinguish what's the Main HBO telecasts and what's the 2nd tier ones.
When FNF is off for the football season they should try to take over that timeslot with those kinda fights and maybe show some of the older fighters looking to regain a foot in the sport but follow the ShoBox/FNF format just strive for more competitive bouts there really are alot of fights that could get made involving younger up n comers matched against each other undefeated vs undefeated as there proving grounds instead of manufacturing guys with 0's but they'd have to invest some would succed some would flop are they willing to do itComment

Actually, they do. Boxing After Dark is for lower profile fights, while World Championship Boxing is designated for bigger names. In case you haven't noticed but HBO no longer has the Monopoly over the sport in terms of broadcasting all the top names/fights since the emergence of ShoBoy/GoldenTime collaboration this looks like the future not just a trend.

But on topic, I don't have a problem with it.
ShowTime has their major cards and ShowBox The Next Generation
HBO has their major cards and Boxing After Dark.
Showtime created a platform for the up and coming fighters to be put on display. HBO needs to create a similar platform and invest in some young talent that will be featured on World Championship Boxing a few years down the road.Comment

Here in the UK Boxnation couldn't manage to get the Rios-Alvarado/Donaire-Nishioka double header that flooded their website with requests for months on end yet they manage to land the epic Vasquez-Quintero card that literally almost no one will watch.Comment

wouldn't this be more of the result of the promoters/fighters? I'm sure HBO would be picking up great fights every chance they could but it's been slow past month or so. HBO will pick up what they can.
But they should get props for giving us fights like Golovkin vs Proksa, which is a fight I highly doubt would have been on HBO a year or two ago.Comment

I agree but I don't have a problem with Vazquez getting some exposure. I just wish it wasn't vs Quintero... But then again that division is super weak.Comment
