The bold is the truth. Timing maybe, but even thats pushing it. When you miss Marquez with a punch he makes you pay with accurate combos. If you play the waiting game with him he'll feint & frustrate the hell outta you. Danny can time pretty good, but his punches can be so wide at times.

Both intelligent counter punchers who use timing very well. Neither is very fast, physically gifted, fast twitched, but what sets them apart from other fighters who aren't gifted is their timing.

Garcia is a blue collar fighter, he doesn't do anything great but he seems to do everything good. His fight vs Khan showed he can take a punch and isn't afraid to stand in the pocket.

I think he's got more power than we give him credit and he has a good chin but he's nothing like JMM. JMM is a master counter puncher, he is incredibly accurate and can neutralize another fighter with his patience and intelligence.

The only fighter who has JMM's skill as a counter puncher, is Mayweather IMO.

Maybe at 140 he's a bigger puncher but Marquez has p4p the harder punch. They've got the same KO% with Garcia just starting to fight the top guys after all the chumps in his natural first division while Marquez is fighting in his 4th and 5th divisions at 40 years old against the best in the game and still has the same %.
