No, he didnt come back and pick on a smaller opponent. He retired, came back and DOMINATED the guy who gave Pac fits. Floyd was inactive for TWO FKING YEARS. Came back and DOMINATED. Quit trying to act like thats not simply BEYOND AMAZING! He was coming off layoffs with EACH opponent, and you hate to admit that it makes the victories even more better! And people try to pretend that Aging has made JMM A tougher opponent for Pac when Floyd fought him more prime. The difference between the Juan that Floyd fought and the one that Pac fought, is that Juan was older, fatter, coming off a one yr layoff, and a fixed fight that lasted one round. There is absolutely no denying that Pac is fighting the more washed up Juan. Floyd HUMILIATED Juan. Weight was not an issue, slickness, severe speed, defense, skills, were the issue. And Pac couldnt even drop Juan. I dont care about the weight Floyd came in. You can make that an excuse if Floyd was brawling and pushing him back. Floyd walked down Ortiz, more than he walked down Juan. Against Juan he just stayed on the outside and Boxed. He wasnt physical at All. Quit making the weight and issue, because it was a MISMATCH!!!!Ok, for the sake of a back and fourth battle, I'll give you Ortiz. But I can never give you Marquez. Pacquiao fought the "older, fatter version of Marquez!?". Man, that's where you lost me bro. Pacquiao fought the "comfortable at WW" Marquez. The Marquez that was roided up. Floyd fought the "coming up 2 weight classes" Marquez, that looked out of shape, and slow. Not only that, but he didn't even make the required weight. Giving him even more of an advantage. Come on man.
You said, an "amazing 2 year layoff!?" Ninja what!? What champ, in the prime of their careers, with all that talent at WW, just retires out of the blue? Then comes back, and picks on way smaller opponent.
Man c'mon son. You sounding like a "floyd groupie" to me.Last edited by MurkaMan; 10-24-2012, 01:48 PM.Comment

Floyd is obligated to fight pac. He is not obligated to fight ANYONE at 54', he cant even make the weight. He comes in at 54, so I feel like its his choice on what he wants to do at that class, and those are bonus fights. But Floyd CANT get away with NOT fighting Pac!Comment

if you want floyd to retire, or think his style is boring, or think he is a racist who doesn't fight enough, why do you care what he is doing now?
Why are the posters that dislike floyd the most also the most interested in what he is doing?Comment

Two rules in boxing among a few: No such thing as triangle theories. Styles make fights. No, he retired and came back and DOMINATED the guy who gave Pac fits. Pac demolished Hatton in 2 rounds, while Floyd took him 10, as an example. JMM does well against aggressive fighters. He backpedaled all night in the Pac/JMM 3 and gave him an advantage which he wasn't able to do in the Mayweather fight. Floyd never allowed him to. JMM himself complained, "floyd don't like to fight...he don't like to fight..." Meaning, he was forced to be the aggressor. Not to mention the weight issues JMM was plagued with in the Floyd fight, plus entirely different conditioning. He didn't have former Conte's associate back then.Last edited by Bullrider; 10-24-2012, 01:59 PM.Comment

LMAO at Pac couldn't even drop JMM. He dropped him 3x in JMM's prime, and at his best weight!!!No, he didnt come back and pick on a smaller opponent. He retired, came back and DOMINATED the guy who gave Pac fits. Floyd was inactive for TWO FKING YEARS. Came back and DOMINATED. Quit trying to act like thats not simply BEYOND AMAZING! Don't argue with a Floyd stan. The man lost me when he said, Pac fought the "older, fatter" Marquez. Yeah, ok, the Marquez that looked in way better shape, and was on roids. Floyd fought the JMM that JUST moved up to WW, while Floyd himself came over weight, and didn't have to tax his body to make weight. JMM looked considerably slower, and weaker in that fight. I know I'm not the only one that thinks this. Two rules in boxing among a few: No such thing as triangle theories. Styles make fights.

Typical Floyd stan's response: "BS, JMM looked as good as when he fought Mark "too sharp" Johnson, when he fought Floyd!"Comment
