Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius Takes on Sherman Williams on Nov. 10

Robert Helenius (17-0, 11 KOs) will take on Sherman “The Tank” Williams (35-11-2, 19 KOs) at Helsingin Jäähalli on November 10.

“It“s a done deal,” Nordic Fight Night promoter Nisse Sauerland confirmed. “The contracts have been signed, the Tank is coming to Finland! This is going to be a tough test for Robert in his comeback. Williams is experienced, rugged and strong. But for Robert to make an impact at the world level, he has to get rid of everyone. With the help of his fantastic Finnish fans, I am sure that he will break down the Tank and continue his winning streak.”

sherman getting his big fight he earned after holyfield and welliver fights

williams win over welliver(claimed 2 regional belts)has got him that big fight he wanted. he was looking good against holyfield & stopped welliver from finally getting his big shot at a contender. williams gets his big fight he's been seeking. he is durable but he will get punished by helenius. helenius is too big & is world class. williams is a journeyman. good tune up fight for helenius but he may have to go the distance since williams can take a punch. then again helenius could beat him up so badly they stop the fight.

Good opponent for Helenius, considering he's coming back from a serious injury and long layoff.

            Good test for Helenius's shoulder.

I still believe in Big Bob.

Sherm Williams is no pushover; he's got good hand-speed and is a decent all around boxer. In the Holyfield fight, he had Evander in serious trouble and probably would have stopped him if the fight hadn't been stopped (due to a cut).

Props to Helenius for picking a dangerous and 'live' opponent to comeback against. This is why I have always like Robert Helenius: he's got balls and he's not afraid of fighting good competition.

                Well said and very true.

Helenius has beaten a number of former champs, Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter, Sergei Liakhovich.

If his shoulder is OK, I still like him to win a world title in the next few years.

If he fight Pulev after that, it 'll be an excellent title eliminator for Wlad.

The only way Sherman can win this is via KO. It is impossible for a foreigner to win a decision in Helsinki, especially under Sauerland team.
