Comments Thread For: David Price-Matt Skelton Finalized For November 30

DAVID PRICE will make the second defence of his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles against Matt Skelton at Aintree racecourse on Friday 30th November.

The 6ft 8in scouser is still basking in the glory of his stunning first round KO of Audley Harrison nine days ago that sent shock waves through the heavyweight division.

Former British, Commonwealth and European champion Skelton boxed on the same bill in Liverpool stopping Croatian Jakov Go**** in two rounds.

Can't blame Price for wanting more rounds before the years end, Audley hardly tested him.

I'd like to see Price have another domestic fight to earn the Lonsdale belt outright providing he takes care of Skelton.

I thought he was on the 30th November card with Freddie Flintoff.

Maloney's card is shaping up well though with Whyte-McDermott also on the card. Does anyone know if Warren's show on the 30th is on Sky? Because surely they'll both clash on BoxNation?

Matt Skelton is a a tough cookie and a better opponent for Price than the pathetic Audrey Harrison.

I like David Price but i find it funny that no one bashes Price for fighting bums the way they do Tyson Fury. For example, i am positive that if this Article had been about a fight between Fury and Skelton, most of the replies would be very critical about Fury taking on another easy opponent. Price is a good fighter and its time he stepped up his level of opponents beyond the borders of the UK.

Fury is also fighting a no-body. Fury is due his 20th fight, Price is fighting in his 15th fight, that's quite a difference in terms of development. Plus, Price has only had 30rds total in his pro career! 30rds over 14 fights, can you really blame him and his team for trying to get a few rounds in? Aren't prospects allowed to develop and learn anymore?

By Price's 20th fight I predict he will be fighting better opposition than this.

Joke of a fight, cant believe Price isn't getting bashed for this. Goes to show how biased peeps are, Fury's win over Chisora still ****s on Price's entire resume

You cant say Fury is fighting a nobody because his opponent hasn't been announced yet.

Fury fought an undefeated Chisora in his fifteenth fight, that's quite a difference in terms of development from Matt ****ing Skelton.

Also fury fought John McDermot in his 8th fight and Price fought him in his 12th, so you're argument goes out the window about who fought who and when

You're just being biased pal its clear as day light
