  • Great physiques do not meant great fighters.

Holmes, bowe, witherspoon, ali to a degree at least later in hi his career , none were body beautifules like mike weaver, bruce seldon or frank bruno yet all of them had good or even great career. Super cut guys sometimes lack stamina, and well defined muslces do not always translate to power in boxing............ James toney is indeed fat yet his career is going well............. Carl williams had a good build yet he never went all the way................ Seldon, his biceps might explode , yet he lost most of his major bouts................

If you put Ronnie Coleman in there with James Toney, he'd get humiliated.

This is common knowledge, dude. It didn't really warrant a thread even.

I was watching Eubank/Benn I for the first time the other day.
Eubank with that muscular stomach couldn't take a body punch for ****.

Yep this theme is sometimes true.

Michael Grant was a specimen...with a cotton ball for a chin.

Byron Mitchell was a brawny cut up dude...Joe Calzaghe doesn't look like much but he knocked him out.

John Mugabi was a hell of a 154 pounder but was ruined after fighting Hagler (understandably for anyone who has seen that fight).

Of course not buddy. This is boxing not a body shaping contest.

you're right, but a lot of the time the cut guy is tough.

Tyson was ripped in his prime, and look at Lacy now.
