Apparently Clenbuterol is very heavily used in factory farms, & was called the "veal industry's most cherished growth hormone,..."

It was previously heavily used in the US by the meat industry, but there was a major campaign about it by the HFA, Oprah, etc. that got the big factory farms to send stop doing it in the US, & send it south of the border.

China had been using it heavily in pig farming as well, but the backlash has driven most of the big factories out of using it recently. Apparently, it is one of the more dangerous steroids out there, but was popular because of "In animal husbandry, it increases the ratio of more expensive lean meat compared to fat."

PS. Most of these 'Mexican' farms still using it are likely US owned...

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm almost positive it doesn't directly cut weight, and it's affects on metabolism are minimal. Sounds like it is used more in conjunction with exercise rather to increase delivery of oxygen and nutrients to body throughout by dilating your bronchi, increasing the overall circulation. I wouldn't necessarily call it "doping" because in sports, that term is harsh. I'm not so sure why this is a banned drug because it's main use is to dilate bronchi, obciously because it's related to epinephrine, and it's affects on metabolism seem more of a side effect.

Check out this article : http://velonews.competitor.com/2011/...players_195167

"Contaminated beef can be a legitimate excuse for clenbuterol in an athlete’s blood sample, the World Anti-Doping Agency said Wednesday, in a decision regarding five soccer players who blamed their positive test results on eating Mexican beef."

"“WADA has subsequently received compelling evidence … that indicates a serious health problem in Mexico with regards to meat contaminated with clenbuterol. This is a public health issue that is now being addressed urgently by the Mexican government,” WADA said in a statement."

WADA says it's a legit excuse. Morales will probably be cleared.
Yes I know I has become an acceptable excuse...but I don't buy it regardless because it makes no sense whatsoever to feed clenbuterol to livestock...it's just not iin the interest of the rancher to spend money administering a drug to livestock that will yield a lighter animal on the scales. But I agree that Morales will likely be cleared.

Like a year ago, 5 Mexican National soccer players had positive results of this drug, also stated tainted meat. Case was later dropped...

Hmmm, low traces of Nandrolone is sometimes found in athelete's supplements due to contamination.
Similar cases happen too..... and yet....

It has different effects on animals and humans. It is strongly anabolic in animals.

I wonder if bullfighters ask for OSDT.

Maybe there is a bullfightscene.com somewhere out there where they argue about famous Spanish matador Florencio Clima de Mayo wanting OSDT before all of his bullfights
