And then these ******S wonder why he wants to fight Arce and Mares, he doesn't do 1 million with Nishioka, but they expect him make money with a guy who can't even fill the seats on a Pacquiao undercard.

You would think Non PPV fights of any sort would garner a couple million viewers at least.

I'm not here to argue about who gets bigger numbers than who, but numbers like these on a pretty decent card makes me worry about the sport in general.

Apparently, pacquiao can't even get his own card to fill seats, not Rigo's fault he gets placed on undercards of events that shouldn't even be ppv.

In fact, Chavez-Martinez's replay on 9/22 did more than this fight at 852,000...

You mean Rios - Alvarado did those numbers.

I doubt that Arum is expecting him to be the reason why someone buys a ticket. He's utilizing Pac's popularity to get Rigo some attention. BTW, Rigo has only fought on a Pac undercard twice (Cordoba and Kennedy) and is gonna fight on the Pac/Marquez 4 undercard. Arum has done a good job on that front.

Are fans this brainless that they'll buy tickets or tune in to see a crystal-clear mismatch? Fighting an opponent with name-value does not make it competitive.
Donaire vs. Arce will be a white-wash, maybe a career-ending ass whupping.

Donaire just doesn't have that star quality to him. He's boring out the ring and he has never built up any real.momentum in the ring. I mean Andre ward has a much more boring style but he can get a million views? Guess that tells u everything u need to know.

You also gotta consider HBO went up against a Big UFC card with Anderson Silva fighting.

That rarely affects much for boxing.
