He lost to a good fighter in Wladimir, that's not a strike against him.

But Haye also lost to an age 40 light heavyweight journeyman in Carl Thompson.
    Vitali quit against a middleweight

He quit against a heavyweight who previously fought as a middleweight in his amateur days.

He may have been past-prime but I'm not sure that description is entirely fair, Carl Thompson was a World, European and British Champion.

Meanwhile, we have people sitting here talking about him being prime or not prime as if he's some sort of really good win or some s**t.

                  Hey freedom brah.
You should put the word 'prime' next to Sanders and Briggs too brahh.
Because according to you a almost 38 year old Lennox was prime.

I mean so 38 year old Sanders and 38 year old Briggs must have also been prime. So add those to Vitali's top level resume..

When Vitali was age 39, he fought age 38 Shannon Briggs.

Around the same time, then age 29 David Haye fought age 39 Audley Harrison.

Vitali was (is) older than Briggs.
Audley was (is) older than Briggs.

Audley is a journeyman who has NO wins over heavyweights ranked in the top 15 when he fought them and was never Ring top ten.

Briggs is a two-time world titleholder and was ranked in the Ring top ten in the late 90s and again in 2007.
