Aw, but Vitale earned that fight, fighting all the top heavyweights out there. Haye has not done the same. he's fought a collection of crap fighters at heavyweight--audley, monte barrett, valuev, ruiz, etc. Valuev and Audley always ******, while Ruiz and Barrett were okay in their prime but were shot when Haye fought them. Haye's only two good heavyweight fights were against Wlad and Chisora. Haye ran from Wlad all night and disgraced himself, adding insult to injury with his pathetic excuses.
He looked very good against Chisora, but who cares? Chisora lost badly to Tyson ***** Fury for Christ's sake. If Haye were to go fight a couple of the top heavyweights out there--Eddie Chambers, Povetkin, Seth Mitchell, Arreola, Adamek--he would earn this fight. At this juncture, he's done nothing but talk. Don't get me wrong, if he'd have been competitive against Wlad, my opinion might be different. But it looks to me like Haye is studiously avoiding any real competition at heavyweight as he looks to cash out in big fights with the Klitschkos. Based upon his performance against Wlad, he has no interest in actually fighting in those fights--just showing up and getting paid. If he shows he's serious by fighting top fighters first, Vitale should take the fight. Vitale isn't fighting again this year so there is simply no excuse for Haye to not go and make a big fight now with another top hw.Comment

I am a huge fan of haye's but wlad cant be blamed for not hurting david. David was in no mood to trade or even take part in a fight. Having a broken little toe doesn't effect courage or heart, Haye had neither that night. As for Vitali quitting, did you not see the gash? or vitali's reaction to the fight being stopped?Comment

Lewis got lucky against Vitali, and wisely retired instead of rematching. Sometimes I wonder if Lewis regrets even more than Vitali that the second fight didn't happen. Above all, Lewis and Vitali are classy guys, unlike the repugnant turd Davey Haye.Comment

What do you mean? I can have an impartial opinion as i am not blinded by hate or being a fanboy. I favor Haye as a boxer and prefer watching his fights but i can accept that if im realistic he has no chance of beating either Klitschko. There are many reasons why not but all in all the size difference is the deciding factor. Haye can win via a lucky punch, but against great technicians like vitali and wlad that is highly unlikely. As for Lennox, i think Wlad is the better all round boxer, hes more mobile, just as good a jab and better diversity in his punches. Lennox is rightfully a hall of famer but Wlad beats him.Comment

I do agree to certain points made, but i dont think eddie chambers, mitchell or arreola offer Haye anything. Unfortunately, haye is in a postion where he can choose who he fights. Arreola and the contenders havent got the image haye has or the ability to talk his way into lucrative positions. I dont think Haye had any intention of fighting Wlad like that, i think he was shocked at how hard wlad was to hit and felt his power and went on the defensive. The Little toe thing was disgraceful. He shouldnt have proceeded with the fight if it was going to have any effect on his performance.Aw, but Vitale earned that fight, fighting all the top heavyweights out there. Haye has always been able to be inactive and still come into his comeback fight 100 percent sharp, just like Floyd. So in his eyes, why should he risk fighting any of the fighters who are down in the pecking order and risk a big money fight with Vitali. David has no interest in legacy, in his eyes hes a former two weight world champion.Comment
