I don't know how competitive this fight would be but man would it be exciting while it lasted. I think Sergio takes Canelo to school. Canelo is strong and has plenty of pop in both hands and while I'm a fan of the guy I'm still not sold on him being the talent they say he is.

If they can't put this fight together how about Canelo vs. Golovkin? Fight of the year candidate!

I don't see any similarities in their styles. Chavez jr. is a fraud and has always been a fraud. Winning him doesn't prove anything, besides he almost knocked Sergio out, lol. If it had been a 15 rounder, it might have ended differently.

Your logic is just as flawed. There is a big difference between getting hurt and getting KO'd. I would agree that Canelo has better raw skills than JCC jr but he has not been in with anyone near the top 20 in his division. At least JCC fought MW contenders and eventually the best in the division. Canelo has yet to fight a top JMW and you think he can beat the best MW. The kid looks talented but he has never been in deep water where Sergio on the other hand lives in the deep end.

I like this fight a lot. I got Maravilla at 154 or 160, don't think it will make a difference. I like Canelo, and I think he has some very good skills, and I think he will keep it competitive, but I think he'll get chopped up and frustrated. Plus, he's not a giant like Chavez Jr. was.

People continue to say "Sergio almost got knocked out by Chavez Jr". Sergio got caught, knocked down and got back up swinging and going toe to toe with a guy who had 20LBs over him and finished on his feet. So many sore wannabe boxing fans on here seriously. Sergio is in the elite class and Canelo hasn't fought anyone next to or near Sergio Martinez caliber of fighting and Canelo is supposed to beat Sergio? Opinions are opinions but would not bet the house on that one. Martinez left 154 because he couldn't get a fight and moved up to 160 beating bigger, stronger fighters by KO or out classing them. He didn't have problem making the weight but rather couldn't get a fight. I'm sure he can move down to 154 being in the shape he is. If this fight happens Canelo is getting schooled and drop if not KO'd. Canelo ain't even battle tested and he is mega protected. Sergio dismantled him at 154 and 160 and I'll bet a Billi E points on that one.
