Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Eager To Face Jorge Arce in Mexico

WBC Diamond Belt and WBO super bantamweight/junior featherweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire said today that if Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is able to arrange a title defense against Mexican warrior Jorge Arce in December, he’ll be ready to go to Mexico for the fight.

Nonito is good but he is such a waste of talent. The guys he fights, and when he fights them. It's disgusting. I use to be a fan of his as little ago as the Narvaez fight, I was defending his performance in that fight against the 5 foot tall guy. Then he picked to fight Vazquez Jr coming off the Arce TKO[I don't count journeymen tune ups] and he just lost me as a fan. The Nishioka pick just killed me off entirely. Now Arce, this is incredible, he completely ****d his Montiel momentum.

The nerve of Donaire going after the (Nishioka) #1 guy in the division, what a bum.

I don't get what you're talking about. Donaire's recent resume is about as impressive as it gets in boxing.

Who is he not facing? Mares? He can't cause Mares is with Golden Boy. Rigo? So what? Rigo has no fan base that brings anything to the table except to the most hardcore of fans.

Donaire-Arce is a fan friendly fight that also makes him a lot of money. It makes perfect sense for both him and boxing fans.

Donaire/Arce will be a one-sided ass whupping. It's the least competitive option available for him, and one that pays the most.

Arce would have no chance in hell of winning this fight, real fuckin talk.

Bob Arum is putting the pressure on Arce. It's all up to Arce now.Bob's even willing to stage the fight in Mexico. I am Kinda hoping Arce backs off this fight. So the old man can Make Rigondeaux vs Donaire. Instead and put that pressure on Donaire.
