but why?? I don't understand how beating Vic or Agbeko all of a sudden makes Rigo a much more viable opponent than he already is. Do people hold Agbeko and Darchinyan in that high of a regard? I'm not saying they aren't good fights, but it won't make Donaire turn around and say, "OMG I NEED TO FIGHT RIGO ASAP!!!"

They are the type of proven world class fighter that I need to see Rigondeaux beat. Kicking either of their asses should make a Donaire fight far more attractive.but why?? I agree. Beating Vic or Agbeko will add weight to his resume, but it won't make him a bigger star or a bigger draw. It's not gonna change the $$$ problem. Plus, beating them will garner comparisons to Nonito/Mares/Moreno, which won't necessarily be a good thing. Darch just beat a young prospect and has a WBA ranking, so he's a more legit opponent than Agbeko, but there are still other fights that make sense.Comment

Beating Darchinyan in style on a HBO main event would definitely improve his marketability.I agree. We're talking about 122. None of these guys will make serious money. Rigo would be just as attractive as Mares or Moreno or anyone else if he beat Darchinyan. Okay, probably not Mares but anyone else easily.I agree. Beating Vic or Agbeko will add weight to his resume, but it won't make him a bigger star or a bigger draw. i picked darchinyan and nishioka (i know he didn't show up, but i still think he's a solid fighter). agbeko and vazquez jr would be the next best options imo. any 2 of those 4 would be great for rigondeaux to have before making a donaire fight. hopefully nonito at least fights the winner of mares/moreno. that's the fight i really want to see at 122.Comment
