  • terrible decision, thought Cunningham looked excellent most of the night. Adamek had his moments but Cunningham always returned fire when he was hit, he controlled the action with his jab and movement.

Welcome back to US network tv boxing

While I agree SS didn't win by that wide of a margin (10-2 means you fail at scoring) he absolutely won the fight. I'd love to hear what rounds were given to Adamek on some of those cards. Oh we'll, the fight was ass anyways.

Because of some bull**** home cooking. Adamek is the heavyweight equivalent of Devon Alexander in getting gift decisions.

actually it was the opposite. The rounds cunnigham won where clear cut. Most of adameks punches where being blocked or hitting air. Cunnigham clearly won the fight no way adamek won that. Cunnigham should of stepped it up though throw more right hands behind those jabs would of made the night much easier

The rounds that you all thought USS won were very close and could have gone either way. Adamek clearly won that last two rounds, IMO, and the first 3 that most of you thought USS won were a tossup and if the judges gave those to Adamek, that's 5-0 there..... SURELY Adamek snuck in 2 points in those middle rounds where he had all those late flurries in the last 10 seconds.
Cunningham was landing the cleaner shots in the last round in my opinion. I really don't see how Adamek won by 4 points. I'll rewatch the fight, but the best I could see for Adamek was a draw.

            • The fix was in as usual.

Felt bad for Steve there. Fought the perfect fight and was picking Adamek off with perfect timed right hands.

Adamek looked slow and sluggish tonight.

The result was a bit of an anti-climax, but I was expecting said result. Steve 8-4 on my card. He boxed Adamek ears off for most part of the fight.

                • Not Surprised, USA (esp NY/NJ + LV) has had some real real bad judging in 2011 and 2012. Oddly enough it seems the only place where foreigners can get a fair decision lately is in Germany as a few foreigners have won straps there by Decision this year.

This fight was in NJ right? What do you guys expect, same state that had Pwill-Martinez 1 119-112 for Pwill

                  • Tough on Cunningham but I doubt he'd get anything but a beating from Pulev

i agree. the 2 rounds adamek won were pretty clear-cut for me.
now i'm an adamek fan and i'm an american so theres no bias here. i just feel that you can't win rounds by doing work in the last few seconds of the round unless something REALLY significant happens. cunningham was way more consistent throughout the fight and he controlled 2+ minutes of a majority of the rounds. i gave adamek the 4th (i think...i didnt have a written scorecard for this one) and the 11th.
