Rigo should fight agbeko or darchinyan. For ****s sake he does not have a marquee win on his resume. I would like for donaire to fight the winner of mares/moreno and then rigo after.

I agree. But if that's what it takes for Rigo to get his shot at Donaire, then so be it. No one at 122 that commands as much attention as Nonito. That's why everyone wants to fight him...and partly why Guille is having a hard time getting high-profile fights.

Totally agree at this point on his career he can't take so big risk..if the chicken run he should try to win all the belt vacated..i don't think donaire will do good in 126..

The "Irish Cubans" have been languishing as of late. I used to get some info on them from another boxing website, but I haven't seen much news lately. I don't know what I would take to get them over here, but I get the sense they'd be better off in the U.S.

Donaire will be on the shelf for a bit with his cut hand. Is Rigo going to sit on his butt waiting for Nonito to return or is he going to fight someone with a name for once?

Darchinyan and Agbeko are out there....

Great point. But even @ feather Donaire would probably suggest on why fighting the salidos/pdl's of world are more reasonable than el chacal

                  Touché!

Although, I will say this: If Nonito has the stones to fight Salido before "Siri" gets too old, he's getting his head ripped off....

Yes, Salido would prove tough. One of the sneakiest overhand rights in boxing. I'm very curious to see ultimately what decision Donaire takes. Will he stay or move up? Top Rank/Rachel Donaire will play a big role on it.

probably not but he's going to keep fighting stiffs to preserve himself until nonito's back..

im already expecting him to fight inferior challneges than darchinyan and agbecko
