The Marquez fight was nothing more than a return bout after a near 2 year hiatus.

You need to realize that Floyd isn't exactly prime himself and even Pac refuses to fight Cotto at 154 and he waited until it was CONFIRMED that Mosely was a shot fighter before he took that match.Ortiz is a southpaw with good power that had won the WBC belt off of the then undefeated Berto-in a fight of the year type affair...these fights aren't that bad.

Cotto is not as fierce as he used to be pre-margarito,but he had looked a lot better when Floyd fought him (beating Yuri, Margarito, Mayorga, etc and was ranked #1 in JMW) than when Manny did (at that time he was 2 fights removed from being brutalized by concrete gloves, and struggled with Clottey). At least this version of Cotto wasn't at a catchweight and had gotten some of his confidence back from his prior defeats...enough for most people to believe that he is still very credible in boxing.

Ward, however in my opinion is the future p4p king.

      1. Ward - Super 6 and DOMINATED against Dawson, stop using excuses and blaming guys like Ward because the other guy ASKED for 168.
2.Sergio - Dominated Jr, and has been just as dominant as Ward, you want to ride that Macklin struggled wagon, you are just being a hater.
3.Manny - Clearly beat Bradley, and other than his rival JMM, has been dominant as more importantly.....ACTIVE
      4. JMM - Hes still considered by many to be Manny's kryptonite, and other than his journey at 147, has still shown age has no limits, and is just as good
      5. Floyd Before many get all butt hurt, hes NOT ACTIVE enough to stay at #1. Many of you rank just based off name. Ortiz was a joke of a fight, and other than Mosley and Cotto, where has there been consistency? Its about being ACTIVE IN THE SPORT not just talking about it with hypotheticals.
      6. W.K. - I know the heavy weight is watered down, but the run has been remarkable, and have overcome adversity. He just continues to win, and look good doing it.
      7. Nonito - Nishioka was solid, and dominant. Hes been as explosive, as he is exciting. 126 might be in the near future, but 130....too much?
      8. Cotto - I always said he had plenty left, and his great performance against Floyd proved me right once again. In case you are wondering, i had it 7-5 for Floyd. People who say it wasnt even close are the same ones who say that Bradley either won, or Manny BARELY beat Tim by the skin of his teeth. Ignore those people as they are idiots.
      9. Danny Garcia - I know this seems high for him, but p4p (THIS IS NOT A ALL TIME P4P LIST OP AND PPL) lists are built on what have you done for me LATELY, and we all know what Danny just pulled off.
      10. Bam Bam - Fight of the year so far with Mike, and quickly erased any remaining memory of the Abril fiasco.
As I am reading the P4P list, this is the best that P4P list with definite and correct reasons putting his list.

There are boxers and there are huggers and I agree with his list as mine.
Pac and May should settle it ones and for all to who is number 1, I hope all those floyd nuthuggers wake up and ask themselves, why does floyd keep on dodging the Pac Fight. You say that Mayweather is the boss, and you can't blame anyone but him not taking the fight!

        • my latest p4p:

          1. ward (ward resume > martinez resume)
          2. martinez (keeps winning against solid comp)
          3. donaire (ditto)
          4. klit bros (have to give them the nod)
          5. floyd (slipping & inactivity, but still keeps winning)
          6. pac (lackluster performances, bradley "loss" formality)
          7. froch (put in some SERIOUS work)
          8. canelo (keeps winning, resume slowly getting better)
          9. marquez (solid wins; arguably beat pac)
          10. bradley (tough luck with "win"; but didnt convince anybody)

this list is loosely based on a "what have you done for me lately"... career's work is considered.... but not heavily, or else b-hop would still be in there somewhere...

be careful homie, lol, floydiots are very liable to stab you if you talk to them a honest way that doesnt make floyd seem like the uncomperable god of the universe, lol, nyahahahaha

                • I think the debate between people lol is over the 1 spot. You're splitting hairs if you talk about Donaire/Ward/Maravilla etc at the others. They're all borderline great fighters. They went a bit past "pretty good".

                  • 1-5

                    Ward
                    Donaire
                    Maravilla
                    Pacquiao
                    Mayweather

No particular order. But those are your top 5. Any variation of them is fine.

I understand that Mayweather has been inactive.

But do you think Sergio Martinez is the same quality of fighter as he is?
