there's a level of skill involved in what these guys did. they're certainly not backyard brawlers. they're very professional boxers.

Sorry but I think Marquez is just too much for Rios at this point but I do think that Rios should take on a rinky dink champion like Garcia for now and go from there. I know Rios will knock out Garcia easily but Marquez is just too inteligent too get ****** in to fight Rios in the inside. Marquez would box him in and out all night long...you saw when Alvarado was using his jab Rios just couldn't do much. Rios needs to get inside to do damage, Marquez wouldn't allow it.

I agree with you that Marquez is extremely smart and a fighter like him doesn't come around to often with such high ring IQ and counter punch accuracy. The only reason I favored Rios is just because of Marquez's age and ring wars. Marquez doesn't have the legs to move around the ring for 12 rds which will cause him to engage toe-to-toe on multiple occasions which will favor the younger lion Rios. If Diaz rocked Marquez back in their epic battle in 09' what do you think Rio's pressure and power punching will do in the latter rds? Marquez in his prime would pick Rios apart like a surgeon that he is!
