i know you said @ 31 years old , he might be shot.. if he fights 3 times a year until he's 31 he'll have 47 fights ..so my point stands..Comment

If his next 4-5 fights are as vicious as the one last night then you will begin to notice a severe deterioration in his skills, legs, and punch resistance. You simply cannot take a beating like that and have a long career.
Rios will have a very short reign at the top I promise you that. Last nights fight has probably taken something out of him.Comment

He's already showing early signs of an aged fighter. His major problem is that he is too slow. He was eating way too many punches from a naturally larger and slower boxer, while absorbing maybe some 2 to 3 head shots for everyone he landed in return. Additionally, I've noticed some cumulative effects from all the punches he has absorbed in his legs, even at a higher weight class, which is an ominous sign for a young boxer too. At times, it appeared that his knees were being slightly buckled by some of the punches he was taking from Alvarado. In my opinion, at this point; It's just a matter of time before he gets eventually stopped as he steps up his level of competition in his career. Pacquiao, Marquez or even Broner are not good career choices for him at this moment.Comment

He can do 3 fights a year for the next 4 years, just not all fights like last nights. He's always gonna take punches to give them, but most fighters he faces won't fight him the way Alvarado did. Now if his next fights are Pacquiao and Matthyse he isn't lasting another 4 years.Comment
