Bob Arum is trying to make Nonito Donaire into a PPV fighter and he knows Arce is the opponent that will get him there. Even though Arce is about 4 years removed from his prime, he has a name, and is still exciting to watch.

Rigo still too unknown for Nonito to take that risk. He knows a fight with Arce will elevate him and put him and his next fight can be on PPV. A fight with Rigo would probably relegate him to an undercard.

rigo should get a somewhat higher profile opponent for december and if he wins and if donaire beats arce (like he should) then that would help set up rigo vs donaire in early 2013..

The filipino phony goes after the weakest of the top 122 pounders again. Hell I'd give him more credit if he fought Mares, how long will he duck Rigeondeaux??!!

I use to like Donaire, but man the guy is full of $h1t and a very cautious boxer when it comes to select his rivals,"I'm not excited for Rigondeaux" common a double Olympic Champion, arguably the best amateur ever, Inerim Wordl Champion in his 7 fight and fully crowned in his 7 or 8, share the same promotor, yeap keep looking for old men and no names because they are more "excited", you are a professional fighter you supposed to be excited to jump into a ring and do your job, my guess that he was "excited" against Nishioka because he knew how old and easy the fight will be.

Who is stepping up? So far anyone with a resemblance of a name is avoiding Rigondeaux like the plague and he is holding a Belt, the only reason he is holding that belt is because they thought he could be beating with so little experience and fights, you know "this is not the amateurs", the same happen to Gamboa and Lara, nowdays you don't heard that stament like we used to, Cuban fighters have to scrambled to get a fight, any fight, so I ask you again who do you think will want to fight Rigondeaux, I know Agbeko is interested, lets c how much he ask.

that fight is ****...hopefully donaire's hand won't heal in time. and if arum insists on making that fight, he better make good of his plan to bring that fight to mexico because i don't think anyone else is interested to see that fight.

It's a stay busy fight nothing more nothing less.

That's the only way I'll take it, if it happens in December.

You were right about people's feelings being hurt after the 13th. Even his huggers were disappointed.

Donaire is such a hommooo wtf? Don't make **** up about "going after titles" and fighting guys that are proven to be worthy then NOT fight Rigdoneaux who has one of the TITLES ur looking for apparently and is considered one of the best guys and instead go after a washed up Jorge Arce who's fighting ****ing 10 rounders for the last 3 fights...ur turning into a big joke

That should be the last guy Nonito should fight at 122 if that happens or else move up.
