Well Khan, truth is live dos fight back, and rabid pit bulls kill. Lots of fighters get caught in fights but what you lack is ingenuity, recuperation, guile, and humility. You try to intimidate others too and lack reflexes which elite fighters and boxer punchers such as Ali and RJJ have, plus you expose yourself to dangerous counters and often leave your chin high. Only a Roger Mayweather or Bhop could bring out the best in you now in a division in which names like Rios , Alvarado, and others ring fear for you. Even then you'd have to display mastery and dominance otherwise you face decision losses as sluggers, brawlers and in fighters will bring that fire to you

Well Amir, the only problem with that is you ain't got no brains. Also, your balls are really tiny ones, so you can as well retire now!Comment

HBO will not like hearing this news. Not surprising that Khan would throw Freddie under the bus like that however it is good that he is realizing that he has a questionable chin and needs to protect it. Will make for boring fights since Golden Boy and his new trainer Hunter will keep Khan away from anyone who can throw a power shot, but will keep Khan on sturdy legs. Will be interesting to see where Khan goes from here, and even though i am not a fan, i hope he gets back to the Top....everybody loves a comeback.Comment

AMIR KHAN has vowed to use his brain and not his balls as he fights to save his career from ruin.
The Bolton boxer has suffered back-to-back losses and feared he would be a laughing stock after being KO’d in four rounds by Yank Danny Garcia in July.
Last December, Khan lost both his WBA and IBF world light-welterweight titles on a controversial points defeat to Lamont Peterson, who then tested positive for using performance-enhancing drugs.

I don't know about that, actually. The fact that he is still managing to try and blame Roach for his losses, especially in mentioning sparring for the Garcia fight - is humorous to me, because there is a video on this very site that showed one of those sparring sessions where Roach SPECIFICALLY told Amir (after a round in which Amir was being tagged A LOT) NOT to be brawling in there. And Amir's answer was something to the effect of 'well that's not exciting, people want to see exciting'. Amir wanted to do what Amir wanted to do, which is fine, but.... how's he gonna sit there now and try to make it sound like Roach never said anything to him about anything? It's on video ffs, and can't be denied. [And btw, I'm someone who thinks it was a good idea for Khan to change trainers... but the truth is the truth]
No coach in the world is gonna do him any good if he only executes the plan when he 'feels like it'.Comment

Doing it is a different thing
But at least for once hes come out and say it, Its like he didnt even acknowledge he did this before

I'll believe it when I see it.
At least he's identified that problem and this isn't an article titled ' I've got a chin, I'll prove it '.
Roach, in a way, is responsible for the lack of progression regarding Khan's ability. Wildcard looks more like a circus at times and Khan obviously wasn't getting enough time with Roach and didn't want to play second fiddle to Pac. Obviously, Roach can only do so much and Khan's the one who's got to take everything in but it's not liked he's famed for his defensive work and he neglected Khan.
I think Hunter is a huge change. Not just the fact that he'll actually add defence to Khan's game but from a mental standpoint, I hope he can inspire Khan to mature in the ring.
Khan's flaws are obvious and easy to fix and in time, under Hunter, he'll hopefully fulfil that potential he possesses.Comment
