It's a crazy fight, I have always felt that Marquez gets dragged into a war and is forced to go into super saiyan mode to stop Rios in the later rounds in similar fashion to Juan Diaz. FOTY for 2013.

rio seems fkn durable as ****... and jmm is pretty old
so i dunno if he still has it in him to keep Rio off him

Pac is going to beat Marquez...But in this fight I would take Rios..Marquez will not be able to do what he needs to to win this fight..I believe he is too old,and tbh holding and a lot of movement is not really Marquez fighting style...

Rios is a lot better the Juan tho..Hit's harder and is more relentless...

Are we talking in another year or more when the fight might logically take place? After another possible war/hard fight with Pac? Honestly, as good as Marquez is, or was, he'll be 40 years, and fighting a very big guy with great stamina, excellent chin and a strong punch. I don't think he'd win at that point. Rios would be too big.

It's certainly possible Marquez wins it but I think he'd struggle early and then down the stretch despite doing well in the mid rounds. His stamina is not what it was once and he takes longer to adjust now too.

If JMM beats Manny then we will be seeing JMM vs Pacquiao V in the spring. Only chance this fight gets made is if JMM loses to Manny.

I feel the same as I have for a while about this fight. I'm not sure Marquez has the defense or power to keep Rios away, and I'd pick Rios. I'm not confident at all about that, but it would be my pick.
