CORK, Ireland - A frustrated World Boxing Association ("WBA") Super Bantamweight Champion Guillermo "El Chacal" Rigondeaux (10-0, 8 KOs), upon learning that Nonito Donaire plans to move up to the featherweight division after his next fight, has labeled Donaire, "The Filipino Phony."

Read those links and get that donaire nutsack of your ears. and then say if hes not regarded by some the best amateur boxer of all time. Keep drinking that donaire coolaid. I see a similar Juanma story with donaire. Juanma was ko guys left and right with amazing power until he fought with a guy that actually wanted to fight him and the rest is history. So far the opponents have been all weak opponents. Answer my question was mathebula a champion when donaire fought him? I mean is ok if he wasn't but donaire said he only fights guys that prove themselves what did mathebula proved????

122 is a good weight for donaire right now. at the weigh-ins he doesn't look drained at all.. he comfortably makes weight unlike broner at 130, rios at 135, chavez jr at 160, etc...this "he's too big for the weight excuse" is getting old tbh..plus i thought people want donaire vs rigo????

He's a world champion, and Nonito wanted to unify the division (Well, according to him 3 out of 4 is enough to unify LOL)

Donaire's win over Nishioka >>> rigonho's wins over Teon Kennedy, Rico Ramos, and Roberto Marroquin combined

Mares win or Moreno win >>> better than any win rigonho has in the division

After the outcome of mares/moreno, rigondeaux will be relegated to the bottom of the 122 lb. totem pole

IMO, the best action fight is Donaire/Mares. Rigondeaux WILL fight scared once he tastes nonito's power and proceed to run all night, just like he did after cordoba dropped him with a jab.

2 gold medals does donaire have one?? just asking lol was he in an olympic team?? lol just asking.

There ain't nothing wrong never going to olympics but i guess for you a guy with 2 gold medals on his resume ain't worth it but mathebula was a really tough opponent and the biggest challenge to doaire when he took it lmaol

Is it me , or does Nonito look a lot bigger than the fighters he fights even at 122? Noshioka looked small in there.
It's not you, Nonito is perfectly suited for this weight-class. He still has pop, still is quick and seems to be bigger/heavier than his opposition.

                    I don't understand why.

All he does is fight the top fighters and wins in dominant fashion.

                    It's just excuse after excuse.

look at donaires frame, he doesn't carry alot of natural muscle. 126 max for him imo.
If he moves up anymore he would jeopardize his speed for unnecessary forced bulkage.
