Comments Thread For: Pavlik's Manager on Andre Ward: ‘Kelly Wants The Fight’

Cameron Dunkin, manager of former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (40-2, 34 KOs), weighed in on a potential Feb. 23 fight between his fighter and reigning super middleweight king Andre Ward (26-0, 13 KOs).

“Kelly wants the fight,” Dunkin told BoxingScene.com Friday afternoon. “We’re just talking about it right now, and seeing if the money is right.”

Ward is coming off an impressive 10th-round stoppage of Chad Dawson in September, while Pavlik outpointed Will Rosinsky in July. [Click Here To Read More]

That's an easy win for him, he should fight froch first, if he can beat him then there will actually be some hype for the fight.

Not a good fight for Kelly. He should fight Golovkin.

I'm going with Pavlik by kayo in a huge upset.

Boxing is littered with these types of results.

Pavlik vs. Chavez Jr/Groves/Abraham would be good match-ups. Makes very little sense for Ward to fight Pavlik right now.

imagine how many $10 handles of bottom shelf vodka Kelly could by with his purse from this fight!

That would last him through most of 2013

I think it would, Kelly doesn't take well to losing. Losing to Hopkins pushed him hard into drinking, and losing to Sergio made him start making a lot of bad out of the ring decisions.
