I see a bias in those rankings.

Why is Wladimir Klitschko not champion at HW?

Why is Haye above Povetkin and Pulev? He's won only ONE fight in the past several years, against a boxer who had three losses in his past four fights.

The rankings are NOT better than The Ring rankings. It's just the same old biased bull****.
I think you'll find the bias is between your ears. Did you not read the OP ? If you did you will know why he isn't the champion. It's quite clear to all but the biggest ******s.

Here you go as you clearly didn't have the courtesy to read the article before you commented:

"Common sense tells us that a division’s true crown can only be seized by combat between the two best in a singular ring before a singular world. The third, fourth, and fifth-ranked contenders neither belong nor fit in that ring."

As for Haye being above Sasha and Pulev. Well, I'm sure they have their own reasons, but maybe it's simply because a blind man can tell Haye is several levels above either. You've only got to visit YOUR own thread http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=568382from the last few days to see that Haye is ranked no.3 by the majority of Boxing fans, so it should be little surprise to you that the TBRB agree.

These rankings are no different than anyone elses! They make Ward the champ at SMW but they don't make Wlad the champ at HW? Adonis Stevenson is'nt even in the top ten SMW's. These rankings are a waste of time.

Exactly what I mean. These guys look at fighters like they are superheros. They just follow names. Cotto was'nt considered the best 154 pounder when Floyd fought him. He still is'nt.Cotto had'nt proved himself to be the best 154 pounder and Floyd beating Cotto does'nt make him the #1 154 pounder. This is BS like the rest you guys.

11 of the 25 are from America, not half.

I also like how people say the rankings are biased because of Americans but then ponit to non-American fighters to "prove" the "point".

              Funny stuff.

Anyways, I'm glad there is a group of people trying to do something rather than just sitting around and complaining about what other people are doing.

These rankings are already the best in the biz IMO. If you want to continue to support the alphabet belt gan and Golden Boy's Ring Mag, please do. If you want to support a real and uncompromised rankings system, then give these a try.

For those wanting to rank someone ahead of Mayweather at 154, who are you putting there? Lara? Kirkland? Bundrage? Who?

                Rankings ain't rocket science.

You only need one half smart guy doing them. Not 25 nerds.

I felt Wlad should be but was overruled on simple grounds: he never beat the number two guy to his number one. I think, because it's Vitali, that beating everyone else is good enough. But it's consistent with the thinking and will stay consistent on the 1-2 issue.

On Pulev, my argument would be he hasn't beaten a real top ten Heavyweight yet. On Povetkin, Haye has beaten as many contenders and didn't need helpful scoring and Luis Pabon to beat Marco Huck. I rate him personally ahead of Sasha without blinking.

There should be fan ratings and kind of an open system and explanation of why who is where etc.

It seems like in some cases inactivity is punished and not in others.

I think the ratings overall are pretty good.

I am sure all this will be fleshed out.

More contributors should be welcomed as well, so it doesn't look like some secret cabal of boxing writers who know each other.
A concerted effort was made, and will be vigilantly maintained, to pursue a wide breadth of board members from around the world. Boxing is a global sport. I think we got off to a fine start in that regard.

I'll still be updating and maintaining my own ratings for BScene weekly. I hope I qualify as half smart. I disagree with some of the set-up positions of The Board but believe where errant, it errored in favor of strict standards on World Champions and that's not a bad place to start.
