if it takes six months and he wants to fight in May, why would he have to say anything now? Also, shade Manny has a fight scheduled 12/8. What if he loses the fight?

What exactly should floyd be saying?

He should be saying that he is now ready to fight Pac

but

His disease is killing him

There is no cure for his disease

His disease is that he has no balls in the elite arena

therefore

He won't fight the top guys, he hasn't fought a top elite in his prime in the past 8 years.

He has been very careful to pick his opponents as he sees flaws that he can overcome whether it be size , age or shop worn

Why are people so blind to this ?

Just admit you don't want these big guys for your idol. If that is the case, why on earth are you guys dumping all these roadblocks to an easy fight, easy money? Where is Floyd, by the way? Any idea who his next fight would be? You're not telling me that he's on a long vacation again and will be scratch-free when he faces a damaged goods Pac, are you? Man, why are you defending that chicken?

i hope floyd fights manny, canelo, and sergio before he retires. I have no worries about him beating manny.

a damaged goods pac. haha thats funny. immediately after a manny fight, when you defend the judges giving hima victory, you put up photos of the lack of damage he received. then months later, when you are arguing about the floyd/manny circus, that same fight that you say manny barely got touched, you change your tune and call the fight a "war" or say manny abosrbed punishmnet.

I always get a good laugh when you and the rest of the pac fringe fanbase does this.

What's funny is it seems both want it at different times, so it seems neither want it.

When everything was 50-50 and Team Pac initally said they'd do drug testing, they then wanted certain cut off's date, which is the reason it didn't happen in March 2010. Than, Pacquiao agreed to the 14 day cutoff but Floyd said no you need to test up until fight day, and we actually had posters here saying it would weaken him and that it gave Floyd an advantage. There were people arguing that when I read this site a year before I joined. Arum did his little clock thing about Floyd's decision, only to have that be proven bulls**t with Margarito spilling the beans about being promied a Pacquiao fight in the first quarter of 2010 after Pac had beaten Clottey. So how serious were Arum and Co. about making Pac-Floyd in 2010??? They killed it by flipping on the drug testing and were caught basically getting another fight signed while acting like they wanted another fight.

Pacquiao never agreed officially testing till fight day until Late 2011, the next time negotiations took place. Floyd said he had May 5th read and Manny even stated he'd take less money to make sure 100% that the fight happens. When the time came, Arum and Team Pac had a multitude of excuses. They didn't know who to call to make the fight (really??? Floyd's been working with Haymon and Schaefer for quite some time at this point), Manny's cut was too bad to go for May 5th, they needed late May or early June (nevermind Floyd is going to jail June 1st and that May 5th was originally Arum's date he wanted for Pac-JMM IV), and Arum said he needed to get investors going for a mega stadium and that couldn't be built until late May (we actually had people on here defending the stadium and cut talk, no joke). And when it came time to split talk, Manny had said in December 2011 that he'd take less money to make sure it happens, than in January/February everything was 50-50 or no fight. So they flipped on that, just like they did with drug testing back in early 2010.

Now Floyd got out of jail and Arum himself was lining up Bradley/Cotto/Marquez for Pac's next fight, because in fairness to them, Floyd isn't fighting late this year after just getting out of jail. Everyone knows that. And then when Manny says he'd take 45% (less money) once again, it's AFTER he signs to fight Marquez. Why couldn't he say this in August when Floyd had just gotten out of jail or way back in January and February, when it was 50-50 or no fight.

Floyd may be greedy wanting the bigger share, but there's not much he can do right now with regards to Pac saying for the second time now that he'd take less money. Simply because Pac said it after he signed to fight Marquez. So we won't know anything until after Pac-JMM IV.
