Not to bash Khan because I do think he's a good fighter with clear flaws but I think he believes he's a bigger star than what he really is. A big named trainer isn't going to have just one fighter, he's going to have many fighters in the gym. Look at Robert Garcia, he's no different.

Khan wants to be The Man in the gym and it's unlikely with a big named trainer. Saying all that, I think Hunter will be good for him though because he's a disciplinarian and will get the best out of Khan. I personally don't think Roach was the problem though.

It is going to be interesting how this works out for Hunter and Khan. Hunter has a good relationship with Ward who comes over as an modest,honest guy and a hard worker who is into the nuts and bolts of his trade and not into hype and BS. Hunter seems a straight guy and I can see a conflict of styles here where hype meets real.

hunter won't fix that chin of his. unless they abandon much of amir's style (fast hands, fast feet, flurry and run away,) he'll still get clipped and taken out by the top guys at 140 and 147.

You can't teach a chinless guy insisting on being an offensive fighter how to not get KTFO by a power puncher. Defense and 100% commitment of any trainer is irrelevant in this case.

With the change in trainers hopefully khan and manny can fight at 147. I think thats the fight Khan needs because he'd be forced to fight smart or get KTFO.
