Wards style plays into Calzaghes style because Calzaghe throws uppercuts. I remember seeing Ward put down and hurt badly, and Ward was almost down and out I believe by an uppercut or right hand. I like Ward, but I wasnt sold on tito, dlh, and other converted southpaws because there are southpaws and orthodox fighters who fight using smoother styles with better precision punching.

Ward was put down by a nobody and was almost out. HBO, SHO, or ESPN showed this fight. Can't remember the channel. I immediately said Ward is a good talent but he's suspect. So far Ward has not been exposed.

And for the record. Both Calzaghe and Ward have gotten up when put down.

Ward wins by 11th round tko due to bad cuts over calslappy's eyes caused by "in fighting".Ward would also knock him down at least one time. Now if the fight was in the uk, ward would lose by tko because the ref would stop the fight after calslappy throws a five punch flurry and only lands one.
