Two-time featherweight champion Bobby Chacon, two-time junior welterweight champion Duilio Loi, featherweight champion Barry McGuigan, and junior middleweight champion Terry Norris will be named to the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, NY. Non-boxers included matchmaker Don Fraser and writer Bert Sugar. Posthumous honorees included featherweight champion Eugene Criqui, bantamweightweight champions Joe Lynch and Charles "Bud" Taylor, middleweight champion Marcel Thil and manager Bill Cayton. The induction ceremony is June 12.
    Thursday, January 6 2005-*********.com

I must say, I have no problem with anybody from that group....

Though A few glaring omissions have occured on their part the last two inductions. Michael Carbajal and Chiquita Gonzalez. Both should be eligible by now.

      Terry Norris?

I don't see that, but I guess he is as deserving as others I have seen put in. Kind of like the Basketball Hall of fame, everyone gets in.

          oh no..bad karma coming?

not a diss, I like Terry Norris. I just feel sometimes Hall of Fames put too many people in. To me Hall of Fame is Joe Louis,Ali,Duran,etc.. If Norris gets in, kind of lowers the bar. Norris had nice career, but I don't think he is a Legend.

Terry Norris is to 154 what Wilfredo Gomez was to 122.

Seriously, at some point held two or three of the major titles at 154 for most of his career. During this time he beat 13 guys who at one point were titlists themselves.

There wasn't a serious challenge at 154 he did not beat.

I don't feel super strongly on this, so you won't get too much of a fight out of me but who did he beat?

His talent was great for sure, but that damn chin was bad. I know he beat up a blown up shot Meldrick Taylor,Mugabi post Hagler,Blocker and others. Almost forgot the beating he put on SRL. Those were all victories over shells of there former selves.

The ones I keep remembering are Julian Jackson and Simon Brown. Refresh my memory on some of those opponents. I'm not saying he wasn't a damn good fighter, just seems Hall of Fame doesn't fit with his name. I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time
