    He will get in.

Should he? Absolutely not. No way, in hell.

    But, he will.

No he shouldn't plenty of others produced the same kind of fights he did yet no one would ever mention them, Gatti simply was in fights that are considered exciting to some people and had more fame than the usual club fighter.

I won't say he doesn't deserve consideration, but what I would like to know is how many spots are available and what other fighters are up for nomination.

sigh...i miss Gatti. There was a time, a few years ago, when i thought young Michael Katsidis was following that same path but alas the boots were too big.

Castillo and Corrales' careers > Gatti's career

I'd put Hatton and Genaro in before Gatti.
I put in my vote yesterday and did not opt for Gatti. Maybe someday, but not now. He's not one of the ten best fighters on the ballot, and it's a ten max. Lot of guys waiting for their turn for years who did a lot in this sport to overlook the flaws in Gatti's game. I understand/respect the argument for Gatti, more so now than I did when he first retired, but can't agree with it right now.

    FTR, my picks were:

    Betulio Gonzalez
    Yoko Gushiken
    Naseem Hamed
    Rafael Herrera
    Harry Jeffra
    Santos Laciar
    Masao Ohba
    Lou Salica
    Myung-Woo Yuh
    Hilario Zapata

Maybe they should divide the hall in terms of impact and actual greatness? I don't know - it seems like every famous fighter will be in the HOF
Stallone didn't get in as a fighter. He got in as a non-participant, a separate category for people like Cosell etc. Considering the impact of Rocky on the game in the 70s and 80s, it was perfectly fair. It's not comparing apples and apples at all.
