GG? Lol, who's he fought of note? GG gets some buzz because of the Proksa win and suddenly Martinez should fight GG instead of Floyd Mayweather? Bahahaha.

What exactly are you crying about? Martinez never left 154 because he struggled with the weight. He was campaigning in the division and only moved up because of the opportunity for Kelly's MW belts. If he wants to return to 154 and challenge a champ or ex-champ, how is that a problem? A fight with Floyd would not be a sure win.

And STILL you whine about a Ward fight. Andre himself feels Martinez is a small MW and the fight won't happen and STILL you cry about it. What's wrong with you?

Stop being an idiot...Chavez was a middleweight champion, does that make him anymore skilled than Pavlik. This is about fighting someone with skills at your own weight, Barker, Macklin, are second tier fighters.

GG beat Bute, Dirrell, and a host of other in the amateurs...his skillset is very high. Ward did say that but he also said that he would meet Sergio at 164 lbs if he was serious (google it, this is NOT make-believe).

If Sergio really wanted to fight Ward at a catch-weight, do you think Ward would turn it down. You want to condone Sergio fighting little men because you KNOW his skill set can't beat GG or Ward.

As much as I like Maravilla, I must admit that he might have another 3 fights in him at this level and performance before other guys overtake him. He will be smart to recognize this and to get the most lucrative fights now, then retire before the usual sad decline that many boxers refuse to recognize (see RJJ).

So, if you have 3 fights left, one of them will have to be Chavez Jr.'s rematch, strictly for the money.

Mayweather will not face him; period. He's in a similar position as Maravilla and will make a lot more money by fighting Pac in a less-risky and meaningless but very lucrative 2013 fight (too late for true fans imho). He probably retires after that one. I consider Floyd to be the P4P king today, but he's also aging and at the rate he's fighting (once every 15 months or so) he won't even be in the Ring rankings soon. Ward, Donaire, and Broner will overtake Mayweather, Pac, and Martinez in the P4P rankings within 12 months.

I will be shocked if GBP throws Canelo into the mix with Martinez in 2013, although I will pay to see that fight. ODLH might want his Mexican golden goose to face a declining Martinez in 2014.

Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (thus the GGG) will be a middleweight champ in 2013. This sets up an eventual mandatory fight with Martinez who will not fight him before he has a couple of title defenses under his belt. So I can see this fight at the end of 2013 at the earliest.

Don't worry we'll never see the duck fight Martinez or Pacquiao don't even bother. Fraud will run for dear life lol.

Are you a moron? Kelly was MW champ, so you would have preferred Martinez to challenge a contender who in YOUR opinion was 'more skilled'? Are you for real?

And LMAO, you're basing your opinion of GG on what he did IN THE AMATEURS? SERIOUSLY?

            End of conversation.

We will see what happens if and when Team Martinez calls GBP's bluff.

Canelo has this fake aura of invincibility that is waiting to be broken. Only way I see Martinez losing is if he's weight-drained. A healthy Sergio will take Canelo to the trenches and drown him. Canelo gets out-worked if he plays the counter-puncher and gets chin-checked if he plays the aggressor.

                  .
                  Golovkin that is.
He would have just droped Chaves cold within 6 rounds. Being easy to heat with GGG means disaster. No one will take his power for several rounds up to super middle. Even when he slept in airport for two days before fight (thanks to his brilliant management at that time), had flue and high temperature and got in the ring with Oumahe was struggling and eating shots. He could not connect flush and cleanly at all. Still even through gloves, come later rounds Ouma had broken chickbone, concussions, totally destoyed and went straight to hospital where he spent serious time recovering from multiple traumas.
He was dropping Dirrel and Bute in amateurs with headgear and wearing gloves you cant even form a proper fist.

It's funny how the few people that hate on SM say basically the same thing, "He should fight Ward or GGG." GGG doesn't have the fights yet to warrant that fight and Ward said it himself " I am to big for Sergio, I will probably be moving up to 175." Tell me the last fight where SM fought a smaller guy? And for B-Hop moving up to challenge himself???? really, didn't he move up cause he couldn't make weight anymore and his challenge was pulling smaller guys up? Not going down to their weight to fight them.... Oscar, Tito and later Pavlik. SM is willing to meet the people he challenges at their weight, see the difference? SM trainer said they would fight Ward at 160 if Ward wanted the fight, thats what prompted Ward to reply he was to big.

Martinez is whole other animal from anything Canelo has ever seen. Martinez stops him.
