Re watched Toney vs Griffin 1

James was robbed in this fight, both men got tired during the end but Toney to me landed the harder and sharper shots in this fight. George Foreman had every right to be shocked that night.

Anyone else recall viewing this fight?

I remember seeing the second fight and thinking that James had done enough to win, but for some reason the first fight slipped by me. I had HBO and Showtime back then but I just don't remember it ever being on.

I know, but in the second fight most people knew it was a robbery, in the first fight everyone except Big George thought it was close. Toney was blocking most of his shots and countering, going to the body, he didn’t look great that night but to me I gave Griffin 3 rounds in that fight
