I love Evander and all, but enough is enough. I can only hope that he wins it, and then retires like fair pole said. I'd hate to see him hurt more than he already is.
Holy Cow; Evander Wants Valuev

Yep, Vidoz tried that sneaky move a couple of times. By about the 9th round I think, Vidoz seemed so frustrated that he wanted to quit.Originally posted by badbloodI aslo loved it when Vidoz ran across the ring and threw a hard puch right into Valuev's chest. Valuev just kept coming forward.Comment

I belive what you see with Valuev is what your going to get at this point. But for anyone to say he cant fight, has'nt ever seen the Vidoz fight.Originally posted by NautilusValuev is an arm puncher; I wonder if they are working on him to use his legs while punching.Comment

Thats what I was saying about him being more aggressive. I was thinking that with his size, he just wanted to be more conservative to pace himself but I've seen about 5 of his fights and he seems like he is trying to be too technical when he should put his size to some use and smash his opponents to ****. Maybe with that size, he just can't do it.Originally posted by NautilusValuev is an arm puncher; I wonder if they are working on him to use his legs while punching.Comment

True. I have read that he is learning at a rapid pace though. I have read that they used American-style boxers (K. Johnson and Akiwande) for the first time while preparing for the fight with Ruiz. I think I saw a lot of improvement in Valeuv in just 2 months.
Before that Valuev complained that the only people who were willing to spar him were from Former SU, so he had to train there. I could imagine that the quality of sparring was low.Comment
