That was a great slugfest. I was amazed Escalera could stay on his feet in that first round from the beating he took.

I thought the fight should have been stopped in the first round. Smoger is known for that, it's his trademark to leave a fighter in there for longer than he should. A lot of people like that, but I think it's dangerous. Sometime it ends up benefiting the fight because the guy who got hurt comes back to make a fight out of it and that's what fans like. But it's not the fans' family member or friend who's in there. Escalara is neither of that to me, i'm just saying it's dangerous.
