I only watched the fight on youtube after the fact, but I am glad Sasha did not look as bad as he did in his last fight. I hope he fights a major boxer in his next bout. Otherwise, it would be really disappointing.

Rahman was SHOT long ago! He was knocked out by fighters who have been long since shot! No fighters become un-shot, they get worse! He did not earn this opportunity and would not have been able to earn it. The dude was so fat during the promotions he coudn't even do a damn photo shoot and wanted them to use an old picture!!! What a mockery of the sport.

I am surprised... given how bad Povetkin's last fight was.

Considering how shot Rahman was, I can't give Povetkin too much credit for this win. It's a good ko on the face of it, but not when you examine it closely. Possible he is improved under Kostya, but hard to gauge anything here. He did look sharper, possibly.

Pusvetkin looked as sharp as a blazing hot knife cutting through butter. The problem is of course that is what Rahman was a big fat tub of butter or lard or how ever you ant to label him. And the butter was rippling with the first punch that Pusvetkin landed. So, in my opinion Pusvetkin gets 0, nada, zilch or no credit what so ever for that fraud that was masquerading as a heavyweight title fight on my laptop. I have to say that this fight was most likely the absolute worst title fight I have ever had the displeasure to watch. And I have seen some pretty bad ones.

Sauerland sounds eager to make the Klychko fight happen as does the WBA who gave Povetkin a deadline. Povetkin isn't getting any younger at 33 and Sauerland also has Pulev and Helenius.

Good win for Povetkin but he needs to step up in competition
