That is a good one but it is hard to pronounce in any language. Give Roy Jr some break huh? The dude MIGHT have to pronounce that. Should create that belt for Holyfield just to see it he can pronounce that.

Wouldn't doubt that for a second. 2 straight losses makes Canelo and GBP feel confident. No way they take Trout on if he wins

Hell no they would never put him in with Trout, solely based on the fact Canelo even if he wins would likely look like garbage in that fight. I think they would fight Cotto coming off a win though because there is more to be gained in that fight and Cotto has certain weaknesses that Canelo can exploit and look good against.

If Cotto loses to Trout it is likely to be close or at the very least ugly so GBP will say well Trout really didn't fight Cotto but this fight with Canelo will be a real fight between men!

So win or lose I think Cotto is most likely.

And the amusing part is that Floyd's fights are still outselling Pac's by up to 2x.

              Trout would never be chosen.
If he didn't have the belt, they'd claim he was a nobody who needed to step up (oh the irony).
He's a threat unlike his last few opposition.
They'll use excuses like, oh well he's not very popular and would bring views in..... like your other few?
A Trout fight is too damn risky for them to take on and risking a fight with Mayweather.

Exactly there is a lot of risk with Trout without that much gain, especially with a Mayweather fight within sight, all he has to do is bide his time and not blow it. I think Trout would be an interesting challenge although I think Canelo has enough in his bag to make it work with the judges, that said even if Canelo wins that fight will likely expose some real flaws and that is not what they need with Canelo going into a Mayweather fight, they need him to look like a world beater whether he is one or not.

A Cotto fight win or lose for him against Trout I could see because I think the risk reward matches up and should Cotto beat Trout then that would mitigate a lot of risk because if either guy wins they would be a somewhat legitimate guy for Mayweather. Trout would need to morph into a boxing version Mike Trout if he wanted to ever fight Floyd, but I don't think stat geeks hold near as much sway in the boxing fan base.

A Mayweather fight is a no-lose proposition for Canelo.

If Floyd beats him...so what? He won't lose any fans or popularity. And he gave up his "0" to the best fighter of the generation and got 10 million plus for it.

                  If he beats Floyd...imagine.

                  And there's a rematch possibility.

Floyd will get no credit, everyone will say Canelo is too green..... which he is, but obviously they don't think that now... only when he loses

Let him (Canelo) fight someone of worth, so Mayweather can get some credit for beating him, because as of right now, though it appears to be a good match up of undefeated fighters, Canelo has not fought a fighter half as good as Mayweather.
