Who wins tonight Escalera or Rodriguez?

Who wins tonight Escalera or Rodriguez?
    and why?

Im thinking the edge goes to Rodriguez because he has the experience and more dimensions to his game.

I think Rodriguez has fought fighters like Escalera but Escalera has never dealt with a Rodriguez type. Escalera is one dimensional.

That said I dont think either will ever be A or B class...both C class.

rodriguez was brought along the hard way.

i think they were trying to make sure he realized that he couldn't beat everybody up with brawling and body punches the way he did when he first turned pro.

his talent isn't on the world level, but he's got the experience and the style to give a relatively green puncher problems. he's also got a good chin.

i'm biased, obviously. i've spoken to rodriguez numerous times and have seen most of his local fights live.

rodriguez via UD. they're trying to turn him into a boxer puncher. he'll try and keep this guy on the end of his jab.

I agree and believe that his boxing is what will give him that edge.

I guess most fans are not interested ion the C class fighters.

Rodriguez should win. More experienced, fought the better opposition and the weights in his favour. (its at a 166 catchweight I believe)

he was? he's never fought anyone in the top 10. he looked terrible against pryor jr and rosinksy and that earned him 2 easy fights on hbo. seems like a really easy path to me. he should thank his lucky stars dibella is his promoter. another berto in the making. maybe he can beat another mickey rodriguez for a belt?
