If you're not fighting back you deserve to get stopped. Just like Molina when he fought DeMarco.
It was only 10mins back you was saying what a premature stoppage it was.
He took one bodyshot and an uppercut, slipped & ducked a dozen shots. His eyes was clear and there was only 3 seconds left. It was one of the worst stoppages I can recall in recent times.
His legs and everything was fine.
The klaxon sounded and Thompson had a lot of bursts at the end of the rounds and did just as much damage to Culcay yet the ref didn't jump in.

So what about those who lie on the ropes and roll with the punches, duck, bob, weave etc?
It's not like he was battering Thompson for the previous 4 rounds either, it was like the second time he managed to get inside and he just flurried. A few landed, most missed, none hurt.
Bit of a joke tbh, even from someone who watches British stoppages regularly. Those are mainly stopped due to a prolonged beating against a lesser quality opponent, Culcay was losing and was fortunate.
The way he initially hits the ropes and tries to grab Culcay behind the neck looks to me as if he's hurt.
He was hurt several times but he just couldn't answer back. If Culcay tuns it on like that once more in the fight, Thompson is going down for sure. Not all the punches landed but dude was getting jacked up and just standing there.
