I don't think its a matter of Floyd believing he could beat Sergio. I have no doubt he could outbox him. I think he knows thought that Sergio is crafty enough to have his moments and Floyd would take some hits he hasn't taken in years.
Outside of Mosley in round 2 Floyd hasn't been in danger of taking punishment since Judah in 06. No way he fights an active guy like Sergio even if Martinez was willing to give up all the PPV money in exchange for a big guarantee.

Fmj bragged about fighting cotto to at the full 154lb limit so there isn't any excuse not to fight Martinez at the same weight. He's basically got three choices. Canelo or Martinez @ 154 or back to 147 for Bradley.
