    Native American Boxers

Anyone know of any current (or past) Native American (Indian) boxers.

And not just from the USA. I'm talking Canada down to Argentina. Would be a good subject for a book.

I know that George Tahdooahnippah is tribal. Maidana too & I think Valero was (can anyone confirm?).

Ponce De Leon is also from the tribe that lives in the Copper Canyon in Mexico. Did anyone read the brilliant book Born To Run?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Brandon Rios is half native on his mother side.

I don't know if Valero was tribal but he was definitely a savage mother****a.

Ponce de Leon is the only world class one I can think of.

And yes, I read that book about the free running tribe in Mexico - awesome read!

The best is probably Carlos Monzon. Ponce de Leon is too if I'm not mistaken

Thanks everyone. Monzon & Lopez both amazing.

I am not only thinking of World Class. ANY fighter from that ethnicity would be great. Thanks. I remember a heavyweight from a generation back, Joe Hipp. Not great but half way there.
