You have trainers like Naazim Richardson and Billy Briscoe, who sound as if they're reciting poetry, a pleasure to listen to....and then you have trainers like Roger Mayweather

All these trainers are over rated: All of them! Except

Roger was a champion but that don't make you a champion trainer just becasue you have a natural gifted fighter in your nephew. Who else have you made great? I don't thing highly of to many trainers unless you work with them from start to finish or take someone who was just good and make them great. Most of the great trainers I can think of are gone or retired. If you haven't produced 8 to 10 world champs stop calling yourself great! I'm not talking about taken over someones left overs either.

Any trainer is gonna see Victor as easy money but as far as styles is concern I believe Roberto Alcatraz would be a good match.

I was a big fan of Roger Mayweather during his boxing career.

Even through his 1st & 2nd round kayo losses, I still cheered him on.

He & his family are very classy people & you can always rely on them to provide thoughtful & intelligent insights.

Victor just needs to settle in and focus on defense and not just charging forward. I think Sr. can teach him that. He's not a great trainer but he's not terrible let's be honest here, for what Ortiz needs Sr is perfect for it. Ortiz is like a clay pot that's been molded by a suburban couple on a vacation weekend. Needs to have a real instructor come in and fix it.
