Has the following "young" talent hit their peak already?

Winning a title today doesn't mean much until longevity is applied to it! I think their just starting to prove themselves now!! Donaire has the talent lets see what happens when he needs to use more gears!! Does he have them? Is he Willin" to try and use them? Chavez is a rookie kid, his record was less than a young amatuer who fights top regional and national competition had!! He got beat, a lesson should have been learned about preparation and commitment, so we'll see!! Khan is a good boxer who needs to learn to box!! By that I mean a Kronk fighters approach who doesn't have the ONE punch but has hand & foot speed and understands that angles are his best friend. I think he has enough pop to get by and I beleive he could improve on power as he gains more confidence. If Manny was a younger guy he'd do a good job with Amir! They all need some competition with Chavez moving slightly slower to give a top twenty guy who won't fall down when touched but knows how to box. (move) We'll see!! You forgot Broner, the guy with alot of talent that needs to step up these coming two years!! He has the goods we'll see if he delivers under some pressure! Ray.

Ortiz is like a blank canvas. He has so much room for improvement simply because he is so bad at boxing but he's not getting younger and the fact he hasn't shown any sign of recognizing his lack of skill in the ring yet says he probably won't improve.
His style is so basic and straight forward that he should have noticed this himself and sought a new trainer before he even fought for a real belt.
You have to be more than a strong bully to win the big fights. That's what separates him and someone like Canelo. Say what you want about Alvarez but he's mindful of defense, angles, and the importance of going to the body and setting up other shots.
Ortiz just gets "Viscious" and goes forward and thinks that will be enough.
Khan has reached his peak I think, sometimes he looks brilliant other times he lets his MASSIVE ego get the best of him. He has too much faith in his ability. Every time he's been knocked out it was because he's stayed swinging when he should have backed down. He doesn't have the chin to stay in one spot for too long.Comment

I still hold out hope that Victor Ortiz has peaked yet, hopefully a change of scenery and a new trainer will help him realize his potential. He needs to secure a Lopez rematch first, and train and fight his ass off to prove he's the better fighter.Comment

Only Jr and Rios have room for improvement, all others have reached their peak, the only thing they can do is make minor adjustments to their fighting style.Comment

I can dig that................Originally posted by CeeMCeeI expect Ortiz career to be full of peaks and valleys.Comment

Most of those guys except Donaire have huge known flaws, Donaire has shown that his power isn't moving up particularly well. I don't know if they've necessarily peaked but all of them have plateaued recently.Comment

Donaire isn't young and doesn't belong in this thread
Khan, Chavez Jr and Rios will all get better
Ortiz is finished IMOComment
