Nobody ever said 13 million officially. That was the rumor and cotto is saying its not true. Considering that Pac's guarantees are 6-8 million and that cottos last fight guarantee was 8 million and now he is coming off a loss there is no way that 13 million is a believable number that TR would guarantee.

Has Pacquiao ever gotten a guarantee above $8 million?

Amusing enough, Cotto had more success against pacquiao then bradley did. Someday a rematch is warranted imo, whenever that day is. Pacquiao is seemingly losing a step, couple that with the facts that cotto will be at a comfortable weight, will have a better gameplan, will train better and has better boxing skills.

Sure....there was a time when roy jones was too much for hopkins...

Bob Arum is amazing! When a fighter is with him, he's the best thing since sliced bread. Now that he isn't, he's shocked that he would turn down such a big offer. I doubt that there was even a $13 mil guarantee offer on the table. I don't blame Cotto for not taking a catchweight. If he feels it'll be beneficial to him to stay at his current weight, then I'm all for it. And someone mentioned him bringing Margarito down to a catch weight in their fight. That ***** was fought at 153lb, the JMW limit is 154lbs. That's a mighty big difference, LMAO

arum is mad because cotto is co-promoting with goldenboy and made more money fighting mayweather than pac did losing to bradley.

Is a catchweight not an advantage for the person requesting it? Who has to do the added work to get down those four pounds? Surely not Manny. Why ask for another catchweight when you already destroyed the dude. And I'm sure he wanted 8oz gloves too.

And so he asked for a catchweight with Margarito...boo-****ing-hoo. Margarito is lucky that Cotto even allowed him the chance to make some retirement money. The guy is lucky he wasn't permabanned for putting concrete in his fists. Notice that Cotto only tried to play weight games with a guy he hates. A fact that flies over the head of many. He holds considerable pull over the likes of fighters like Trout, and doesn't play those weight games, just the one guy who most likely cheated. In what was a fair playground, Cotto pitched a 9-0 shutout.

Manny just looks like a b*tch in this case, catchweights make or break fights with Pacquiao. Cotto tried, then settled and then whupped that ass. Pacquiao is fighting a 40 year old on the downslide, Cotto is fighting a man on the upside. The public is catching on to the con game right now, booed two fights ago, generated less than a millie in PPV buys his last fight and forcing people he already beat into added stipulations.

War Cotto, beat Trout and go for another big money fight and call it a day win or lose

He didn't seem to mind about going down in weight when he asked Margarito for a catchweight in their rematch...
The Marg fight was fought at a catchweight of 153. That's not a big difference! It's not like he brought Marg down to 150 like Pac did. I'm just saying...
