He already fought Rhodes who was a 154lber, so it's time to fight a relevant LMW. Someone that has some name value, a guy we've all seen in action. I won't accept Angulo cuz he still has to re-group. I wouldn't be alright with Kirkland either cuz of all the drama he's in right now, would you expect someone who's suing his entire team (and coming off an injury) to bounce back in an effective manner? He has rebuilding to do as well.

Like I told you before, if this happened I will have to agree with you and hougigo. What a damn joke. Freddy Hernandez will be a more credible name than Maidana. How they try to sell this to us? Is Oscar mad that Lopez and Maidana beat his poster child that he want them slaughter by a bigger man? Makes no sense. Oscar and Eric Gomez are two idiots. Next thing we know he will be fighting Ricky Hatton in May 5th.

Not really, because it is easy to not like a fight or even a series fights but still think a guy is the goods.

Some people need stuff pointed out to them very clearly in detail and won't accept something until that threshold is met, which is fine.

Now other people can see it completely the other way where they see how a guy fights, how he moves and just realize that guy is pretty good and that his abilities will scale. Lots of people don't like this sort of analysis because it is is not a quantitative argument thus not easy to prove, thus it is very hard to argue with a person because it is all opinion but that is a valid way to look at fighters also.

Judging what fighters are capable of is just as much an art as it is a science and there is no perfect way to do it.

As for Canelo he should fight better guys but that doesn't really effect what I think he can do as a fighter. to be quite honest I like when most people don't like the fighters I like, it means better odds for me~ liking what the crowd likes is not a way to gamble and make money.
