i'd bet money that he will be the next opponent. i'll also bet that he'll do great in the ratings.
take a stand, man
write them a solid letter. they'll eventually have somebody worth while read it. if you look around eventually you'd figure out where to send it.
then write a letter to HBO and another to Showtime.
and stop watching their shows that you don't support. these guys don't give a damn about how you feel. caring about how you feel is going to get them bankrupted.
they care about your money. if you don't buy their ppv, buy premium cable subscriptions, and turn in to their fights, then they'll get the message. their responsibilities lie with the people that make them money, and they view them in monetary terms. along those lines they're responsible for making a product you are willing to pay to watch. they couldn't care any less if you don't like it, so long as you're paying to watch.Comment

I know it wasn't really about me but I just felt my take was a slightly different spin on it.
The funny thing about it the dudes you listed will crucify other guys for similar stuff I generally don't do that. If I didn't like a guy in the past I found myself justifying it that way, but that has got me in trouble on a lot of bets in the past so I try to avoid making that mistake. I would still consider betting against Canelo though if the odds were right because he is unproven so he should only ever be so much of a favorite against a solid guy.
Say he fights Molina, Canelo would be at least +600 I would take that bet all day.Comment

Yes, to me that is just being real about it, I can understand why people get a bit twisted over that but I just enjoy whatever boxing I get I don't have to see specific things to really enjoy the sport. Sometimes great or good fights just aren't meant to be but there are other great or good fights or fighters that people aren't even really focused on yet.Comment

Yea we don't know, not knowing does not equate to a negative outcome. It can go either way.Now that is sheer nonsense. We don't yet know how Canelo can take the punch of a full fledged dangerous jr middle. We don't know Canelo's heart as a fighter. We have barely seen him struggle through adversity.. And when he did, it was against subpar competition. His caliber as a champion is in question, regardless of hiss skills or potential. Judah has skills too. So does Khan. With Judah he has a heart problem, with Khan, a weak chin.
We don't know these things about Canelo. Only that he was stunned against the world beater Jose.
Feel how you want though, you can certainly feel that way about Canelo but just understand that as negative as you feel about Canelo the opposite positive feeling is also equally reasonable.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 09-25-2012, 12:02 PM.Comment

Their justification.... is just beyond me.I know it wasn't really about me but I just felt my take was a slightly different spin on it.

As for Molina, I'd be tempted. But with his style and Canelo's starpower... I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo takes it on the cards because they don't like Molina.
I can definitely see Canelo struggling, but then again, who doesn't against MolinaComment

Certainly that would be the big risk which is why I would need a big number to play that, if it was fairly close I would play Canelo because chances favor him getting the decision ugly fight or not.Their justification.... is just beyond me.

Another guy which Canelo would be a huge undeserving favorite against is Lara and I would be all over that also.Comment

they'd rob the hell out of molina. it would be like taking candy from a baby. canelo is an eyecatching offensive fighter, and molina is basically a pure/very good cutie with poor athletic talent and zero punching power.Their justification.... is just beyond me.

that's why the odds would be so high
molina is a good fighter with a wealth of experience and a style that would give canelo issues. he should be a small dog, if the judges were legit.Comment

Only concerning Chavez. The kid was not exposed. At some point in time people have to realize that Chavez was in there with a legitimate top 3 pfp fighter. There is absolutely no shame in a young fighter losing to 1 of the best the sport has to offer. The word exposed is overused imo.lol another Light Welterweight? GBP is making it pretty obvious that even they don't believe in Canelo all that much, they continue to PROTECT and Cherry Pick for him
but all that means is that once he does finally get some balls to fight top fighters in his Division he will get his A$$ EXPOSED just like Chavez Jr...hell just like his BOSS Oscar De Lay Hoya who Bob Arum did the exact say thing with and Oscar lost just about all of his BIG FIGHTS most of his careerComment
