I think maidana definitely has the power to trouble Canelo but I think canelo's bodywork will be too much for maidana. Look how khan hurt maidana to the body, imagine Alvarez inflicting bodywork on him! Alvarez vs cotto is the fight I want to see!

YES! just let these guys fighter each other without this ****ing vulture cherry picking em' into his weight class. boxing would be a lot better right now without this hypejob.

Jesus......why can't Maidana wait for the Malignaggi-Cano winner??? That's what he should be looking at.

I stand by what I said before, Canelo should fight Kirkland, Molina, Quintana, Dzinziruk, or Bundrage (if he doesn't fight Berto) in December. Seriously, f**k outta here with this WW s**t.

He beat Ortiz, should have gotten the W over Kotelnyk probably, had a decent win over Cayo, fought a really close and tough fight with Khan, and beat Morales (though past his prime). He's not a total bum.

I would not mind seeing him fight the Malignaggi-Cano winner at all. But what the hell with Canelo???

Why can't he fight Kirkland, Molina, Quintana, Dzinziruk, etc???

Got my fingers crossed that they fight in May 2013. Floyd said he won't be fighting after 38, so they don't have much time left.
I really don't think Floyd will fight him till September 2013, potentially after a Cotto fight in May for Canelo, or May 2014. 2014 will be Floyd's last year.

At some point Canelo is going to run out of JrWWs and WWs. Then what will they do?

                    • I can think of several light middles Alvarez should fight, but not too many light welterweights or lightweights. Why do they keep doing this?
