The fact that Cotto had much less experience than Mayweather when he fought Sosa and Corley throws out the Cotto's level of competition argument.

Plus, I think Cotto has some of that Trinidad thing where his opponents never seem to be the same after he KO's them and his opponents will not be contenders anymore after he ruins them so guys like Pinto and Torres that could have been top guys at jr. welterweight would look like bums in his opponent list. Whatever happened to Corley? Pinto lost, Abdullaev I think is going to retire after he also in his last fight.

Why are people even mentioning Cotto in the same sentence with Floyd?

Floyd ia p4p the best out there has fough great opposition.

Cotto has not fought a good boxer yet, hes only fought Journeymen and was rocked already by a bum and a no power journeyman

            Hater did you read?:

Cotto has 25 fights, in his first 25 fights Mayweather's only credible opponent was Diego Corrales. Cotto in his first 25 fights has already fought guys like Sosa and Corley and KO'ed them, something Mayweather couldn't do in his 30th and 32nd fight where he already had much more ring experience than Cotto who defeated them in his 19th and 23rd fight.

Mayweather had an 11 fight experience advantage in comparison to when Cotto fought Sosa and a 9 fight experience advantage when he fought Corley. Lets not even talk about Cotto being 3 years younger, hence he fought them at a younger age and looked more impressive aginst them.------Bottomline is that Cotto has fought better competition in his first 25 fights.

And are you referring to Corley, the same powerless journeyman that rocked your boy Mayweather?

dont get me wrong, bais is a part of being a boxing fan, but you have to at least be able to back you bias up with good debating skills, facts and general boxing knowledge

I dont' like Cotto, I think he is overratted. BUT, I am glad that he is staying busy. Its better to fight a bum than to take another 6 months off waiting for a big money fight.

Toney does the same thing by fighting guys like Booker.

cotto hasnt fought anyone near deigo's level
also, floyd fought angel manfredy and emmanual augustus, two other fighters who are better than anyone on cotto's roster
maybe if you saw some of floyds fights and who he fought, you would understand. i think you need to do a little reserch on fighters between 1998-2000.
by the way, in his first 25 fights, im not sure floyd lost one round.

and id like to say that i think cotto is a great prospect who needs to step up and stop fighting bums
as far as your final statement,

thank you for proving to me that you DID NOT see the corley fight and have no idea what your talking about

How dare you bring up Chop Chop's name he would give Cotto an asswhipping if they gave him a rematch but noooooo cotto got saved by a ref

if anybody has ever seen chop chop fight then we all know he takes a Knee when he has too and then continues on i'd bet all my points Chop Chop would take Cotto out if they gave him a rematch but i'm gonna let my guy "Mighty" Mike do that for me
