If Dirrell is still the same fighter, I'll take the upset.

He's the only person I think has a chance against Ward.

I would pick Dirrel also to beat Ward.


People need to realize that Ward though he does have a good resume its all been against fighters who are made to order for him and had he fought Dawson at 175 it would be the first time he would have been in there against a fighter who was`nt made to order for him.

Andre Dirrel would be a fighter whose not made to order for him.and i believe he would beat Ward cause he`s taller rangier a south paw and is very skilled.

To me that fight needs to be built up a bit. Very few would pick Dirrell to win and if Ward doesn't kill Dirrell it will get looked down on.

Dirrell needs to be a more respected opponent for the fight to really make sense, there is a certain group that will never respect Dirrell but if he beats a couple solid guys he could be thought of as a quality win.

Ward is right. Dirrell has ways to go before he Can be considered a viable contender. But it could materialize in a few years time.

I saw the fight, the one where Dirrell actually fought like a coward in large parts. Schooling Froch he did not, have you seen the fight??
That fight took a little piece of him and so did the Abraham fight, leaving him mentally a bit worse off.

he didn't start it, go listen to the interview. He was asked if dirrell had ground to make up and he said yes.

between the two of them, dirrell has done way less than pavlik. 2 years ago pavlik was the lineal champ with 2 major belts while dirrell didn't even have a belt. 2 years later, dirrell has had 1 meaningless fight.

Dirrel got robbed of winning the WCC belt 3 years ago.You people are afraid of Ward fighting Dirrel cause ya`ll know he might lose.That`s why ya`ll dont mind Ward cherry picking Pavlik cause ya`ll know its a easy fight for him.

His whole fight strategy was ******ed. Also, he didn't dominate Froch. It was close, very close.

I had Froch a round up, but it could easily have been the other way.

who cares how weird, ******ed, awkward a fight strategy is.. that has nothing to do with the fact that he got the better of froch.... a lot of ppl were in SHOCK of the decision... if its a close fight there is no need for anyone to be shocked but the fact ppl were... means the dirrell was obviously getting the better of froch

It was close. Dirrell was fighting away from home, but, for whatever reason, decided to run/complain like a b*tch for the duration of the fight.

You can hardly compare Froch-Dirrell to Abril-Rios or Bradley-Pacquaio, though, can you?

Basically, he's still a prospect/contender who gained some name from the tournament participation...but he hasn't earned this..I think it would be a gift for him to get a fight vs Ward...however Ward has beaten the top names at 168 and the top guy at 175...so this might be a period where Ward is fighting contenders even if they aren't considered on his level
