Chavez Jr can't hurt Martinez? WTF?
Chavez has been known to put on as much as 20 lbs. But his opponents have bee known ro put on 10-17 lbs.

What difference does it make. it's nearly all liquids, and I think it's disadvantage for Chavez.
When he's bit older it won't be so easy for him to regain sustained energy.

The body is nearly all liquid so it makes a big difference. He uses modern techniques to shrink down to a certain weight only for a few days and then rehydrates to his natural weight. That's not right.

I think long-term dehydration might cause some kidney damage, but there are probably millions of instances where people living in the desert had to seriously cut water for long periods with no future damage.

You probably are talking about the electrolytic balance. Well, that's why, after prolonged dehydration. people are restricted to taking sips of water and to only gradually allow their systems to became rehydrated again. Drinking too much too quickly after prolonged dehydration can kill. It happens a few times each year, often with long distance bicycle racers. It's called hyponatremia. It was suspected by some medical people that Corrales suffered from this during his Mayweather fight. He'd rehydrated 17 lbs. Unheard of for a 130 lb fighter. (Gatti-Gamache was at 141)

Chavez Jr simply doesn't have the skills to beat world class fighters, 160 or 168 makes no difference. Team Chavez has been so busy marketing this guy no one taught him any defence, instead they line up a bunch of very limited opposition, and let him feast. When they finally line up a world class fighter, he got his azz kicked. I think the poor guy thought all he would ever have to do is show up and his granite chin and good body attack.

Chavez Jr is going to be sneaky and still find ways to smoke his weed while avoiding the tests discovering it.

I agree he should stay at middleweight hell he shook up the best middleweight in the world and almost pulled off an upset i'd pay to see a rematch chavez will go into the next fight with more confidence.

It's one thing to have confidence, it's another to have the skills. If he comes in under-prepared again with more confidence in his abilities, a healthy Martinez is gonna get the stoppage.
