So what he is saying is his son is no big puncher and he is taking credit from his son's win. His son needs to drop him from the team....Angel is the laughing stock and obviously an emotionally unstable person with a ***ed up view of the world.

He's in denial. That's why he fights the way he fights and that's why he suffered the fate he suffered vs Garcia. Could've been an easy night if he just used his speed and boxed from the outside. Instead he pissed it all away.I don't think Khan has admitted to himself that he was a weak chin.
You could see him in sparring, showing off, dropping his hands and inviting shots to the head to prove how tough he is.
Same thing happened in the Peterson fight against the ropes where is eating shots and show boating.

Boxing fans are weird, they are "sold" on the weirdest boxers, the most untested boxers who have nobody on their resume. Then we have Danny Garcia who's coming off consecutive wins over Holt, Morales, and Khan. But you are not sold on him yet? Man, he's the 140 pound Ring/WBC/WBA Champion. If ABC titles don't mean anything to you, it's understandable, they don't mean much to me either. But he's The Ring champion of his division. I think he's the real deal.I somewhat agree with Angel but man he really is a crackhead lol. I think Danny is one tough kid and he is gritty and has will and guts. He is a solid fighter. True, Khan is obviously chinny but I am still not sold on Garcia. Granted Danny took Khan out but Khan was cleaning the floor with ass and boxing his ears off before that happened. I have to see more of Garcia to really be convinced, and beating Morales won't convince me of crap.Comment

Actually, Angel Garcia shouldn't be dropped. He's needed for publicity purposes. This guy is the mouth of Team Garcia. He can't go any where, especially with all of these boring fighters at 140-147.Comment

Well boxing fans usually want to be one of the first on a bandwagon, if they are late to the party they will usually go the other way on a guy until they just have to admit they missed the boat. SO once they miss one of those guys who is really starting to prove them self they start searching for their own guys who are either out of favor or unknown quan******.Boxing fans are weird, they are "sold" on the weirdest boxers, the most untested boxers who have nobody on their resume. Khan is still in chin-denial.
Much as it pains me to agree with anything Angel Garcia says, a great fighter has to have a chin.Comment

Yeah, that's true. I personally got on the wagon late my self, in 2010.Well boxing fans usually want to be one of the first on a bandwagon, if they are late to the party they will usually go the other way on a guy until they just have to admit they missed the boat. Sounds like even Angel might be underestimating how hard Danny hits. I guess he loves being in role of the underdog tho so they will always look back at that fight and nobody giving them a shot. i love real characters like him in boxing and it's too bad HBO missed out on him for a build-up to that fight.
Anyway, he's a thudding puncher with both hands and he disguises some of his shots very well...seeing him drop Morales like made me sit back in my seat a little...I've seen him in other fights b4 but that onslaught afterward and way he was leaning Erik's body back with punches I was like whoa.
I know Khan isn't the hardest egg to crack initially so, because of that, he's become somewhat resilient in trying to fight back, survive, and run while still on his feet.
One of the best things to me about Garcia in that fight was that he never exhausted himself when trying to get Khan out of there...it took a decent amount of time and output to finally get rid of him and I thought there was a moment in the chaos that Danny mentally slowed himself down when Khan started to fire back a little. took a breath, regrouped for a second "started all over again" as George Foreman used to say and got Khan back on the floor for the last time before they stopped it.
IDK how many tricks Morales has left but I hope he uses them because they are gonna be looking for the KO that would be great for danny's careerLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 09-23-2012, 08:43 PM.Comment
