Cotto will take on anyone. We need more fighters like him. It's funny he fights both Mayweather and Pacquiao but they can't find a way to fight each other.

Cotto is and will always be a paper champion. He gets belts from the weakest in his division. He then loses those titles when he faces half way decent fighters. Cotto does NOT fight any and everybody. Thats a myth! Case in point, he considered fighting once again one of the weakest in the MW division just to get a belt.

We can look back, WW the only guy that Cotto did not fight was Paul Williams. If you want to be picky about it add Cintron and Collazo. He fought everyone in that division. Only guy that was at the top of the division always was Floyd. Not his fault TR didnt do business with Floyd and other than Hatton at LWW, there was no other name for him to really impact his resume. His loses are to only Pacquiao and Mayweather. He erased his lose to Margarito by smashing him in a lopsided fight. Proving that Margarito had loaded gloves in their 1st fight.

um no? the only thing that fight proved is that margarito's eye hadn't fully healed from the pacquiao fight and he shouldnt have been allowed to fight with it in that condition.

just because he beat him doesn't prove margarito cheated in the first fight. margarito isn't the only person to have lost in a rematch after winning the first fight. are all fighters that lose a rematch on drugs or were cheating?

Congratulations! You officially have the worse post on this thread! LOL! Cotto has one of the best resumes in boxing today! I can't think of anyone really outside of Marquez and Pacquiao that could have a better resume. Really? He's fought nothing but the top guys in his division. Granted he may have missed a few fights at 140, but come on guy! Just about everyone in the last five years have been or became champs that Cotto has faced. Paper champ? Trout is great young fighter. He has a very bright career ahead. Losing to Cotto will be something he can learn from and become even better. Trout is going to be a star, just not December 1st at MSG.

Trout is a very dangerous fight for Cotto.

If he wins though, he can easily fight Alvarez in a unification, or he could go up to 160 or a 157 CW or something, and fight Sergio. I wouldn't mind either, though I think Cotto should stay at 154.

TBH I don't think Cotto will do well at SWW too long. Above average but not great.
